Glossaries
DeepL glossaries enforce fixed translations for specific terms (e.g. product names, brand names).
- Create the glossary in your DeepL account (define source and target language, maintain the terms)
- Copy the glossary ID from your DeepL account
- In the plugin, either store it under Settings > Default Glossary ID (applies to all jobs) or specify it per job in the job dialog
Technical Notes
Section titled “Technical Notes”- A DeepL glossary is bound to a language pair. If the language pair of a job does not match the glossary, the job fails and shows the DeepL error message in the queue. Use a separate glossary per language pair.
- Without a glossary specification in the job, the configurable default glossary applies.
- Glossaries and the translation cache are independent: changing the glossary does not alter already cached texts. To re-translate with the new glossary, run the job with “Ignore cache” enabled.
