Privacy (GDPR)
Section titled “Privacy (GDPR)”This plugin sends shop content (e.g. product texts, category texts) to the DeepL API operated by DeepL SE for translation. Key points:
- No transmission before configuration: data transfer only starts once a DeepL API token has been stored and a translation job has been started.
- Content may contain personal data: check whether your texts contain personal data and design your content accordingly.
- Data processing: a data processing agreement (DPA) with DeepL SE may be required; see DeepL privacy for details on processing, storage locations and contracts.
- Free vs. Pro: the privacy terms of the respective DeepL plan apply; the Pro plan states that submitted texts are not used to train models. See the Configuration privacy section for details.
Details in the German documentation sections above (all features are identical).
